Tony has eighteen years experience leading software development teams on
systems that range from radar software to data-mining solutions. He has been
the chief technologist for three Web start-up companies. Tony held an
Assistant Professor of Computer Science position at Loyola Marymount
University for eleven years where he created an award winning multimedia
minor. He has a wide-ranging technical background and is considered one of
the top technologists in training and performance support development. His
work has won awards and has led him into engagements at many Fortune 500
companies including Credit Suisse, Royal Bank of Canada, Citibank, Lexus,
PacifiCare, IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Sun Microsystems, Fidelity Investments,
Symbol Technologies and SHL Systemhouse. Tony was valedictorian at Loyola
Marymount University, where he earned his B.S. in Computer Science, and
attended the University of Southern California as a Tau Beta Pi fellow, one
of the top 30 engineers in the nation, and received a M.S. and Ph.D. in
Computer Science. Dr. Karrer is a frequent speaker at both industry and
academic events.

Dina has over ten years of professional experience in business and
law. She has managed large groups of technology professionals in the
e-commerce and Web development arena, most recently for Commerce One, Inc.,
the software solutions company that acquired AppNet, Inc., where she served
as VP/COO for their Southwest District. Dina has an extensive background in
finance, from managing a multi-billion dollar Fortune 500 company's budget
and forecast process, to helping AppNet through their IPO process as their
Director of Finance. Dina has successfully managed multi-million dollar Web
development projects requiring coordination among offices in 35 countries
and implementation in 18 different languages. As an attorney, Dina has
practiced law in Colorado, Maryland and Washington, D.C. She now applies her
legal training to managing corporate contracts, confidentiality agreements,
statements of work, and partnership agreements. In addition to this legal
work, she is responsible for running all operations of the company,
including the management of all projects. Dina holds a Bachelor of Science
degree in Finance and Economics from the College of Notre Dame, and a Juris
Doctor degree from the University of Colorado.

Brian is a real technophile. He has several years of experience working with high-end technologies on real-world projects. Yet he has an eye for hype and prefers a disciplined adoption of new technologies. Brian has served as the technical lead on a number of particularly complex projects. He led a development team for an image cataloguing, search, and retrieval system that is now in use at top universities throughout the United States including Yale, Cornell, UC Berkeley, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Brian is named in the design of the patents that one client holds for a novel heterogeneous database-searching algorithm. The web version of this product was featured in Wired magazine and won the prestigious 2002 Webby Award for Technical Achievement, beating out such competitors as Google and Sony. As the VP of Technology, Brian constantly has his eye on emerging technologies that can help TechEmpower provide innovative solutions for their customers. He earned a B.S. from Loyola Marymount University, where he was the top graduate in Computer Science, and where he now teaches courses in Multimedia.
